17 Jan 2012

The Queensland Government today announced it would continue supporting Brisbane Festival's Santos City of Lights laser light show through 2013.

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh praised the choreographed light spectacular as a centrepiece of the Brisbane Festival.

"After the fantastic performance for the inaugural show in 2011, I can today announce that Santos City of Lights will continue to feature as a major attraction on the Brisbane Festival calendar in the coming years," Ms Bligh said.

More than 185,000 people attended the 2011 event, generating 5,600 visitor nights and establishing the Santos City of Lights as a highlight of Queensland's event calendar.

Mark Macfarlane, President Santos GLNG pledged Santos' continued major sponsorship with the Brisbane Festival for 2012. Dates for Brisbane Festival 2012 and Santos City of Lights will be announced early 2012.

  1. Hi there! I'd love to know the track listing of songs used in this years light show - which was just breath taking by the way! Is it available for purchase? Cheers, Jade.
