70,000 people packed into Victoria Park to witness A Little More Light.
Festival-goers gather for their free photo at Northern Lights.
The Adelaide Festival kicked off with two Santos-supported events: the free fireworks spectacular A Little More Light, and the popular Northern Lights attraction.
A crowd of 70,000 packed into Victoria Park to witness A Little More Light, performed the renowned Groupe F pyrotechnics. A team of 70 Santos employees handed out 23,000 blue glowsticks to the crowd, lending a distinctive Santos vibe to the evening.
Across town, the Northern Lights display also proved extremely popular. South Australian Premier Mike Rann had officially switched on the attraction along North Terrace in the city on Friday, 26 February.
One of the most popular attractions of the Festival's entire 50 year history, Northern Lights paints Adelaide's historic architectural icons on North Terrace with light and colour every night until Monday 5 April.
As well as supporting this event, Santos is hosting a free photo both staffed by employee volunteers. Members of the public can get a professional photo taken in front of the Northern Lights and receive a free print on the spot, every Friday and Saturday night until March 13th.
